Leading Greats #81

What's holding you back? Often it's the paradigm you still need to shift.

This shift is not just a change, but an empowering transformation that opens up new horizons of success.

These frameworks shape how you view opportunities and challenges.

When you change your paradigm, you open new possibilities.

This shift helps you approach life, business, and relationships with a success-focused mindset.

A paradigm is a set of unconscious beliefs and assumptions that influence how one perceives the world and guide one's thoughts, decisions, and actions.

Nothing is either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

— William Shakespeare [ Hamlet ]

Shifting a paradigm means adopting new ways of thinking.

This change allows you to see fresh opportunities and take different actions for better results.

This shift connects directly to the law of attraction.

When you change your mindset, you align with the success and prosperity you seek, opening the door to a world of opportunities.

The law of attraction says that your thoughts generate energy.

By focusing on abundance and growth, you attract opportunities that match this energy.

A positive paradigm shift reshapes not only your internal world but also what you attract externally.

Your mindset becomes a magnet for success.

This shift is vital for leaders.

The mind is everything. What you think you become.

— Buddha

Effective leadership begins with self-management:

a crucial aspect that depends on an intentional mindset shift.

  • This shift empowers you to take control of your actions and decisions, leading with purpose and resilience.

  • Leaders who master their paradigm manage emotions, actions, and decisions with clarity.

  • It allows you to navigate challenges with confidence and inspire others.

  • By shifting your thinking, you become a more grounded, effective leader.

Self-management through paradigm shifts allows you to act with intention,

not just react to circumstances.

  • This deepens your emotional intelligence and strengthens relationships.

  • When you manage yourself well, you create a ripple effect of positive energy.

  • This influences the culture around you and enhances team dynamics.

  • Ultimately, your paradigm shapes how you lead, grow, and what you attract.

  • Shifting your beliefs aligns your mindset with prosperity and success.

  • This transformation improves your leadership and self-management.

  • It empowers you to attract success and elevate those around you.

I originally intended this newsletter to celebrate all things great—Leading Greats.

The following is some life-changing history and a monumental achievement anniversary this week.

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't—you're right.

— Henry Ford

On October 1, 1908, Ford introduced the Model T Car.

It featured a self-starter, a left-sided steering wheel, and a detachable four-cylinder engine.

Constructed from vanadium alloy steel, it combined strength with a lightweight design.

Its high ground clearance appealed to rural drivers navigating rough roads.

Priced at $850, it was affordable but still beyond the reach of many workers.

Ford aimed to lower the price over time.

After selling 10,607 Model Ts, Ford discontinued the Model R and Model S.

Henry Ford famously said:

Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants

so long as it is black

Ford Publicity Stunt at Scotland's Highest Peak

In 1911, a driver was challenged to drive a Model T to the top of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles.

The five-day journey took the car over rocks, bogs, and snow in a zig-zag pattern.

Upon reaching the summit, the driver was greeted by a cheering crowd.

The stunt boosted sales in the UK, with over 14,000 Model Ts sold.

By 1913, Ford built a new 60-acre factory in Highland Park to produce Model Ts.

It was the largest factory in the world, doubling Ford’s workforce.

On April 1, the first moving assembly line was tested for assembling a flywheel magneto.

Inspired by Chicago meatpacking plants, conveyor belts were used.

This innovation transformed every part of the assembly into a moving process, cutting manufacturing time.

In just six months, the time to build a Model T engine dropped from nearly ten hours to under six.

The factory was divided into sections, each assembling one part of the car.

Eventually, the Highland Park plant had 500 departments in its assembly line.

This efficient setup revolutionized mass production.

By the mid-1920s, competition surged, offering ten times more car options than a decade before.

The Model T couldn't keep up, and its sales dropped as it became the butt of jokes

In 1927, Ford announced the end of the Model T.

The new Model A debuted in December after 40,000 tools designed only for the Model T were scrapped.
