What story are you telling yourself?

What’s your story?

Do you like your story?

Would you like to revise your story?

As it turns out the stories that we tell ourselves repeatedly can retrain our neural pathways.

If you are considering taking on new challenges or wanting change but have not zeroed in on what that looks like, perhaps it’s time to stop listening to yourself.

Start talking to yourself instead.

Choose a good story to tell yourself if you would like to think well of yourself, your abilities, your accomplishments, and for your future goal attainment possibilities.

Telling ourselves the right stories can have us believe in those stories over time.

It takes time to rewire our neural pathways.

I am very Pro Personal Development

If you have followed me here or on LinkedIn for more than a week you may see that.

I have done so many programs over time.

I am a lifelong learner.

With all of the benefits I gained through that work brings me here to share with you.

I have a few good reads going at once usually.

Often, they are synergistic of each other in subject matter.

Today my share is a reflection of a combination of my reading and our current calendar.

I few thoughts here come through reading “The Power of Story” by Jim Loehr.

I just Made some Big Commitments to myself in recent days

We are into 4th quarter, and I know I have set a full plate for what I want to see and accomplish in the final three months of this year.

Some of my commitments are scary in a great way.

You may notice last week’s Leading Greats was a bit pared back. 

I got feedback that I was being “very generous” in what I was offering each week and that perhaps I might consider less content per issue.

 That sounded good as we head into 4th quarter.

And this will soon be my 3rd quarter writing and publishing Leading Greats.

It seems like a great time to try out something new and see what comes back to me.

The World Needs More Great Leaders!

I just finished reading the book “10x is easer that 2x” by Dan Sullivan with Dr. Benjamin Hardy PhD.

A quick takeaway is that as you embrace 10x as a process, you’ll continually be doing and focusing on less with clearer and bigger goals.

This is the less that yields more - of what you want in life, work, relationships.

To reach this level there is preference to letting go of the 80% of things and relationships in life that are not serving you nor giving back generously.

The focus is on the remaining 20% of those entities - in your life that you favor and that are serving you well and that you feel the most connection to.
