Reputation isn’t built after the fact.
It starts the moment people observe you.
Most professionals assume results earn credibility.
But people form opinions long before outcomes land.
The smartest leaders know this - and use it.

My PRE Model is how reputations are earned before metrics:
Presence
Be known for showing up - early, prepared, consistent.
It’s not about being everywhere.
It’s about being someone they expect to see when it counts most.
For leaders and entrepreneurs, this is how trust starts - through steady visibility in the right spaces.
Reliability
Keep your word. Especially when no one’s watching.
Professionals gain influence by doing what they say.
Leaders lose teams when they don’t.
Entrepreneurs lose buy-in when delivery lags behind pitch.
Energy
Bring the tone that others can build with.
High performers aren’t just competent - they’re magnetic.
In pressure moments, your energy becomes the room’s permission slip.
This model matters because reputation is formed in the waiting room - before the results show up.
For professionals, this gets you tapped for bigger roles.
For leaders, it drives alignment before you speak.
For entrepreneurs, it draws believers while you're still iterating.
And the opposite is also true:
Without presence, reliability, or energy… even strong results won’t carry you far.
People decide if they trust you before the data.
They commit when they believe you’ll show up again.
They stay when your word outpaces your pitch.
Build your reputation early.
Let your results be the proof - not the introduction.
On a personal note, I have experienced this system firsthand.
Some of you know I have a book in the works. I was not a book author prior to this. The first energetic draft came out early in the COVID-19 pandemic, pre-vaccine.
My motivation to share my writing was at its peak, especially since I didn't know how much time we had left during the pandemic.
But I had no audience. ZERO. I was not active on social media. Who was going to see my book? - I asked myself repeatedly. I know my target audience, but I had no audience. ZERO. Until I built one.
I made a significant decision to set the book aside and focus on building an audience and a reputation first. For those who may have been curious at times, this is a large part of what I have been building toward.
Now I am seeking a reputable and relatable book editor who is also easy to work with for my 100,000-word manuscript. In case you or someone you know may be a good fit.
